5th annual student competition for the Karel Schwarzenberg Award: results coming soon

27 entries for this year's Karel Schwarzenberg Student Prize competition announced
We closed the application process for the 5th year of our student competition for the Karel Schwarzenberg Prize on 17 November 2024.

A total of 27 participants have registered for this year's event. Two-thirds of them are bachelor theses, while one-third are master theses, mostly focused on political, economic and legal topics.

The competition is open to all active students and recent graduates who have defended their qualification theses (bachelor, master or rigorous thesis) between 2021 and 2024. The themes of the competition reflect contemporary political, economic and social issues and are written in Czech, Slovak or English.

The results of the competition, after all submitted works have been evaluated by the TOPAZ Academic Council, will be published on 31 January 2025 on our website. The three winning entries will be published on our website and social media and their authors will receive financial rewards of five, three and two thousand crowns, along with diplomas. These will be presented to them by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Mrs. Markéta Pekarová Adamová, and the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation, Marek Ženíšek.

We thank all participants for their entries and look forward to the announcement of the results!
